Well, it is now September. The month for new beginnings. The month when school begins, football begins, 9-11 is remembered, new friendships are formed, and the list goes on.
Life continues to move forward even if you are not ready for it. Here at Hearts-Galore we were faced with one of our "FRIENDS" discovering he had a fast growing cancerous tumor on his brain. Even though we did not know this man very long, somehow he came into our lives and well, he is there now forever. Michelle, Deena and myself were given the opportunity to meet him in person and I for one am so glad that I did get to meet him. He is definately one good guy. He has a fun spirit, even when I was giving him a hard time about going the WRONG direction home from the city. He had us all laughing just about the whole time he was with us. It took his situation to make me really take a step back and see all that I have and what it is all worth.
Seeing the smiles on my kids faces as their daddy walks in the room after a long day at work. The opportunities I have been given throughout my life.
I had a night out with my dad recently and we had a long talk about life and the importance of the people who you allow into it. Those people are gifts and the ones who know you the best are giving you their best gift of friendship. Life is too short to hold on to negative energy. To hold on to things that happened years ago, months ago, minutes ago and even seconds ago is just a waste of your life. Every second of anger eats up a second that you could be happy and smiling.
Don't was your time being bitter, it really does not do you any good. Instead, USE your life to its fullest and smile.
September is a month for new beginnings...start it with a smile and don't take a second of it for granted.
